Substance Advice Service delivers workshops at Lime Hills Academy

Lime Hills Academy was pleased to welcome the Substance Advice Service into school recently to deliver a series of workshops for students as part of its PSHE curriculum.

The sessions focused on providing age-appropriate information and practical guidance to help keep students safe, informed, and confident in making healthy choices.

Students engaged thoughtfully throughout the workshops, asking sensible questions and taking part in discussions around risk, safety, and decision-making.

Deputy Principal Steve O’Callaghan expressed how proud he was of the mature and respectful way students approached these important topics.

He said: “Our students demonstrated excellent maturity and engagement throughout these sessions.

“The Substance Advice Service delivered important messages in a way that was accessible, relevant, and thought-provoking, and we are very proud of how seriously our learners took the opportunity to reflect on their choices and wellbeing.”

School leaders extend a special thank you to DSL Liam Olpin for organising the workshops and ensuring this valuable support was made available to students.

Opportunities like these play an important role in promoting wellbeing and supporting Lime Hills’ commitment to excellent inclusion and high expectations.
